Salma Bashir Death News; Makeup Artist Known As “Slay with Salma Passes Away
Sadly, Salma Bashir, a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, resident and well-known makeup artist known as “Slay with Salma,” has passed away.
On Wednesday, January 10, 2024, her death was declared, causing her family, friends, and supporters great sadness.
Five-year-old Salma was involved in a life-threatening accident. She was critically hurt while swimming when she was disemboweled by the suction of a pool filter. The horrifying event resulted in years of health issues.

Salma had a small intestinal transplant after her injury. Six months later, the organ was removed because her body rejected it.
Her gall bladder and big intestines were also removed. She bravely had a number of surgeries while waiting for several organ transplants for many years.
